ELECTROMECHANICAL SERVICE TECHNICIAN

Description

In this role, you will ensure the proper functioning and rapid intervention on electromecanical equipment and systems in ambulances and special vehicles, both in the service workshop and in the field.

You will play a key role in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining electrical, mechanical, and auxiliary systems, directly contributing to the safety and functionality of vehicles delivered to clients.

This is a hands-on role focused on technical interventions, diagnostics, and troubleshooting in a dynamic, practical environment.

RESPONSABILITIES

What you will do

  • Perform full diagnostics of special vehicles entering service, identifying and documenting faults and their root causes;
  • Correctly interpret and use electrical diagrams, symbols, and electrical principles for diagnostics and interventions;
  • Carry out repair and maintenance work on electrical, mechanical equipment, and body components;
  • Verify the quality of completed work through functional testing and final validation;
  • Complete and manage service documentation (intervention reports, cost estimates, handover reports);
  • Clearly communicate identified issues and completed work, ensuring traceability of interventions;
  • Collaborate with internal teams for installation and repair of vehicle systems (electrical, oxygen, HVAC, etc.);
  • Provide technical support to colleagues and contribute to solving operational issues;
  • Assist in the administrative management of service activities (documents, shipments, spare parts stock);
  • Participate in inventory of equipment and materials;
  • Occasionally travel to clients for on-site interventions and inspections;
  • Take part in training sessions and activities at other company locations.

What a typical day in this role might look like

  • Receive a vehicle in service and perform fault diagnostics;
  • Interpret electrical/mechanical diagrams and identify the root cause of an issue;
  • Perform repairs or replace faulty components;
  • Test system functionality after intervention;
  • Complete service documentation and activity reports;
  • Collaborate with colleagues on more complex cases;
  • Prepare or manage parts required for interventions;
  • Occasionally travel on-site for client interventions.
