We are looking for an engineer with a system-level mindset, passionate about technology, who combines rigorous logical thinking with technical creativity and is interested not only in designing solutions, but also in understanding how they can be integrated into a complex product and continuously improved.

Main responsibilities

What you will do

  • Analyze project functional requirements and develop the corresponding electrical concepts;
  • Define system electrical architectures and propose optimal technical solutions, including component and equipment selection;
  • Develop preliminary electrical schematics and the technical documentation required for product development;
  • Identify and evaluate new technologies, components and solutions that could be integrated into Deltamed projects;
  • Analyze and evaluate suppliers and available technical solutions;
  • Contribute to defining technical specifications for component procurement, development and testing;
  • Collaborate with engineering, design, mechanical, electronics, IT and production teams to ensure complete system integration;
  • Build or coordinate the development of prototypes, test benches, mock-ups and test setups for solution validation;
  • Participate in prototype and solution testing and validation activities;
  • Analyze test results, identify technical issues and propose improvement solutions;
  • Ensure the technical documentation associated with the developed solutions is complete and up to date;
  • Contribute to developing and strengthening Deltamed’s internal technical know-how;
  • Contribute to the standardization and reuse of technical solutions across future projects;
  • Identify optimization opportunities and propose improvements to existing solutions;
  • Monitor developments in automotive, automation, electronics and IT technologies and assess their relevance for Deltamed products.

What a typical day in this role could look like

  • Analyze the technical requirements of a new project and define the preliminary electrical architecture;
  • Discuss the integration of a new electronic module into the vehicle with the engineering team;
  • Analyze technical solutions and components available from different suppliers;
  • Work on an electrical schematic or system model using design software;
  • Participate in prototype or test-bench testing;
  • Analyze test results and identify the root causes of functional issues;
  • Collaborate with mechanical design, IT, automation and production colleagues to solve an integration issue;
  • Update technical documentation and electrical BOMs;
  • Evaluate a new technology and propose how it could be used in a future Deltamed project.

Candidate profile

Requirements

Education and experience

  • University degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, Mechatronics or a relevant technical field;
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical systems design and development;
  • Relevant experience in automotive, special-purpose vehicles, mobile medical equipment, industrial automation or other complex technical products;
  • Experience in new product development projects, from concept and prototype through validation and production introduction;
  • Proven experience in designing and integrating complex electrical systems;
  • Experience with electrical design software such as EPLAN, AutoCAD Electrical or similar solutions;
  • Experience with EPLAN is an advantage;
  • Knowledge of standards and regulations applicable to automotive electrical systems and electrical installations, including requirements relevant to special-purpose vehicles;
  • English language – professional level, minimum B2, ideally C1, for technical documentation, training, manuals and communication with international suppliers and partners.

Essential technical competencies

  • Solid knowledge of power, signal and control circuit design;
  • Experience designing electrical schematics, including single-phase and three-phase 230/400 V AC circuits;
  • Ability to dimension wiring, fuses, connectors and protection systems;

The profile we are looking for

We are looking for an engineer with solid experience in electrical system design and development, combined with a broader understanding of the product and how its different systems interact.

The ideal candidate is not focused solely on producing design documentation, but is interested in understanding why a particular solution is required, how it can be integrated into the product, how it can be tested and how it can be improved.

This role is particularly suitable for an engineer who wants to be involved in new product development, rather than focusing exclusively on routine design of already standardized solutions.

Why Deltamed?

At Deltamed, you will have the opportunity to work on the development of special-purpose vehicles and customized technical solutions, where electrical, electronic, IT and automation systems must work together as part of a complex product.

You will have a direct role in turning concepts and ideas into functional solutions that become real products, including products used in emergency situations and critical operations.

Our working environment encourages initiative, controlled experimentation, knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
