Recyclable Materials Sorting Operator

Description

DELTAMED, one of the most important European bodybuilders of ambulances and special vehicles, is expanding its team by bringing on board a colleague who will take on the role of Recyclable Materials Sorting Operator.

Main responsibilities

  • Collecting packaging and recyclable waste from the production halls;
  • Sorting waste into categories according to internal requirements (cardboard, plastic, metal, wood, etc.);
  • Pressing, baling, and loading materials into containers or transport vehicles;
  • Maintaining cleanliness in the indoor and outdoor areas of the production halls;
  • Handling materials with a pallet truck and, after the training period, with a forklift;
  • Occasional use of gardening equipment for the maintenance of outdoor areas;
  • Reporting observed situations and maintaining constant collaboration with the responsible coordinator;
  • Complying with the company’s occupational safety regulations and environmental procedures.

Job Requirements

  • General or secondary education;

  • Ability to perform physical work (occasional lifting of small to medium weights: boxes, pallets, etc.);

  • Attention to detail and good observation skills regarding waste management flow;

  • Strong sense of order, discipline, and cleanliness;

  • Good communication and teamwork skills;

  • Availability and willingness to learn how to operate a forklift in the future.

Considered an advantage: Experience in a similar position (warehouse, sorting, handling); Forklift license (or willingness to obtain one).
